Per EMMA la musica è stata da subito un’esigenza fisiologica. “Come il bere, il dormire, il nutrirsi, non posso farne a meno”, scriverà lei stessa nella sua tesina della maturità.
E alla musica si è dedicata da subito, seguendo dapprima suo padre, nelle serate di piazze e nei locali che faceva con il suo gruppo ed iniziando a salire sul palco per cantare, accompagnata dalla band, alcuni classici di Mina. Il pubblico nota subito la voce e la presenza di quella che sembra poco più di una ragazzina, ed EMMA inizia così ad avere i suoi primi fans, gente che si ripresenta puntuale ogni qual volta lei torni a cantare nei paraggi.
All’inizio degli anni 2000 la scena musicale del Salento è in totale fermento: Negramaro, Aprés la Classe sono solo due delle band che vanno per la maggiore, e che EMMA frequenta attivamente in quegli anni. Una serie di coincidenze, la portano a Roma, dove, si presenta ai provini per AMICI, e supera la prima selezione per partecipare al programma.
Il resto è storia: EMMA vince l’edizione del 2010 di AMICI, esce il suo primo album, intitolato “Oltre” uno splendido biglietto da visita per questa giovane e grintosa artista. L’album è da subito al 1° posto della classifica degli album su iTunes e stabilisce immediatamente un altro record entrando direttamente al n. 1 della classifica di vendita.
Lanciato dal singolo intitolato “Calore” scritto da Roberto Angelini, l’ep ottiene risultati straordinari che confermano il grandissimo seguito e affetto del pubblico, raggiungendo il Doppio Disco di Platino per le vendite conseguite e risultando essere il secondo disco più venduto dell’anno.
L’estate 2010 la vede impegnata in un tour di successo che tocca tutta Italia mentre già preparava il nuovo album di studio. Emma sceglie una delle ultime date, la tappa della sua città, Aradeo (Le), per lanciare in anteprima il suo nuovo singolo dal titolo “CON LE NUVOLE” (scritto da Roberto Casalino e Dario Faini) anticipazione di “A ME PIACE COSI’” in pubblicazione per Universal Music Italia il 19 ottobre.

“A ME PIACE COSI” è un disco rivelazione, Emma si è affacciata ad Amici quasi smarrita e ora è un’interprete a tutto tondo, la ascoltiamo già piena e compiuta. Grazie alla produzione e agli arrangiamenti di Pino Perris e di Fabrizio Barbacci, ha raccolto intorno a sé grandi autori italiani come Roberto Casalino, Saverio Grandi, Roberto Angelici e Antonio Galbiati ed è riuscita a cantare un disco carico di passioni e sogni.

Dodici brani dagli arrangiamenti vari e sorprendenti che abbracciano un’intera generazione di ragazzi e ragazze con un sorprendente omaggio al re della canzone italiana. Emma interpreta il capolavoro che Domenico Modugno scrisse con Enrica Bonaccorti “La Lontananza”.
Il secondo singolo tratto dall’album è “Cullami”, che accompagnato da un video per la regia di Gaetano Morbioli si aggiudica subito il primato di video più visto nel web.

A Febbraio partecipa insieme ai Modà al Festival di Sanremo 2011 con il brano Arriverà, classificandosi al secondo posto, dietro Roberto Vecchioni e il 16 febbraio 2011 viene pubblicata “A ME PIACE COSI SANREMO EDITION”, già disco di platino a fine dello stesso mese.

All’intensa attività discografica si aggiunge il nuovo tour di Emma : A me piace così Tour, anticipato dall’apertura di 3 date di Gianna Nannini e a giugno di due date di Vasco Rossi a San Siro.
Il tour proseguirà fino alla fine dell’estate.
